EA games are truly a forerunner when it comes to sports gaming. Great to see that they are stepping back into tennis.

EA have been out of the tennis arena since around 1994.  They are returning bigger and better than ever with "Grand Slam Tennis" for the Wii.  The key to this release though, is that the title will make use of the Wii Motion Plus sensor (to be released earlier than the game).  Let's face it we all enjoyed Wii tennis, but it just didn't provide the element of realism that we crave.

EA have promised to deliver a much more accurate experience.  The motion plus sensor will ensure that forehands, backhands, top spin etc will all be recognised and executed with precision.  This should ensure many hours of superb gaming.  Character movement will still be pretty much automatic but elements such as speed of execution and angles will all be delivered as per the controller.

Hopefully this could spark a whole new genre in gaming.  It will be exciting over the next few years to see what games will  head our way.
