Two big releases this week and also the arrival of the PSP Go - Sony's latest iteration of their handheld that's slimmer, thinner and without the UMD drive. But if you're slumming it with the previous versions then Gran Turismo gets its long-awaited release onto the PSP with over 800 models and 30 tracks from around the world.
It looks a stunning version of the classic racing simulator although some will baulk at the lack of a career mode to make the game more, well, gamey.
On the Wii, the success of Wii Fit has yielded a successor in the form of Wii Fit Plus. This comes either as a single disc or with the balance board. The software improves on the original by having a personalized fitness regime so you can chop and change routines as you feel inclined. There's lots of new balance games included in the package and general improvements to make this more of a competitor to EA's Sports Active.
In the UK, the PSP Go and Gran Turismo gets released as well but with the added advantage of getting the racing game for free if you pre-ordered the console (via PSN). Otherwise its the latest Disney film tie-in getting a release on all major and minor platforms with Pixar's UP. This is another fair to middling tie-in game and its good to see the quality on these games improving slowly over time.
