A Wii-Sports tennis experience that is extended both in terms of gameplay and options whilst not loosing the simplicity and pick-up and play fun of the original.
Summer has well and truly arrived this week as we see a second Movie franchise tie-in in as many weeks come along. This time it’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince that sees a release onto all platforms possible.

Big Family Games continues the good work of Big Beach Games Wii with an expanded set of activities and controls. The same ambitious puts it in the company of other titles like Sport Island Wii and Sports Party Wii and Wii-Sports itself. These games all create an experience that relies on the analogue wonders of the nuanced gestures picked up by the Wii-mote.
One title dominates the landscape this week as the self-descriptive Ghostbusters: The Video Game comes out worldwide. Thanks to some confusing corporate affairs the UK and Europe will only get the PS3 & PS2 versions, with the Wii, Xbox360, PC & DS versions appearing on 30th October. However, the US will see all versions released today.
Big Beach Sports was an early release on the and one that unlike other titles, was actually ambitious in its use of the Wii's motion controllers. This results in an experience that is more rewarding and long lasting than many expected.
And with Big Family Games just out we took the opportunity to revisit this older title.
Let's Play Fireman provides a challenge for older players that surprisingly draws on both the storytelling and motion controls of Elite Beat Agents DS. While not as hard hitting as the Fireman edition of Sam Power DS, the challenge and the educational information is stronger here.

Club Penguin, the popular online virtual world purchased by Disney, comes to the Nintendo DS. As the first move by Disney after acquisition it's both sensible and well delivered. Most importantly it genuinely reproduces and to some extent extends the online world.
Fresh from its demonstration at last week’s E3, Nintendo finally release their upgrade for the Wii-mote – Wii MotionPlus. When used with specific new games this tracks your movements in finer detail and with greater accuracy. Fortunately a couple of those games are out this week and even have special bundles that pack the add-on in.
